Founder Story

Hello my name is Neela_LogoCaregiving today is harder than it should be. Families are expected to manage complex medical information, coordinate care across disconnected systems, and make high-stakes decisions without real support. Hospitals and facilities are often stretched thin, and aging adults who want to remain at home are left relying on loved ones who are already carrying so much.

I built Neela because this system is broken and caregivers deserve better.

Through my years working in post-acute healthcare and watching loved ones care for aging parents, I saw the same pattern everywhere. Caregivers were doing heroic work with very little help. They were handed overwhelming responsibility yet given almost no tools, no guidance, and no clear way to manage the constant flow of information and decisions.

I wanted to change that. Neela was created to bring more clarity, connection, and confidence to the caregiving experience. The goal is not to replace the love families give. The goal is to support the work that too often falls on one person’s shoulders.

Her name is inspired by a family matriarch who embodied strength, generosity, and the belief that care should always stay connected. But Neela’s purpose is much larger than one family story. She represents the millions of unpaid caregivers who deserve tools built specifically for them.

My mission is simple. I want to help transform how we care for aging adults by giving caregivers the support they have always deserved. So you can focus on what matters most and care for the people you love with more confidence and more clarity.
