Common questions about pricing, plans, and what's included in your 30-day trial.
About the trial and billing
-
How much does Neela cost?
Neela Cares offers two annual plans. The Core Care Network is $120 per year ($10 per month billed annually) and supports up to 4 care-network members. The Extended Care Network is $240 per year ($20 per month billed annually) and includes unlimited care-network members plus priority support. Both plans include a 30-day free trial. Monthly billing is also available. Cancel anytime from your account settings.
-
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new Neela subscription starts with a 30-day free trial. A payment method is required at signup to lock in founders' pricing, but your card is not charged until the trial ends on day 31. You can cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be billed. The trial gives you full access to your chosen plan, including the AI Care Assistant, document vault, shared calendar, medication tracking, and provider rolodex.
-
When does my card get charged?
Your card is charged at the end of your 30-day free trial. If you signed up on November 1, your first charge is on December 1. If you cancel before the trial ends, your card is never charged. You can manage your billing date and payment method anytime from your account settings.
-
How do I cancel?
You can cancel your Neela subscription anytime from your account settings. If you cancel during your 30-day free trial, your card is never charged. If you cancel after your trial ends, your access continues through the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees and no questions asked.
-
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade from Core to Extended Care Network anytime from your account settings. The change takes effect immediately and your billing is prorated. If you need to downgrade, you'll first need to remove care-network members until you're within the Core plan's 4-seat limit.
About the care network and your data
-
What's the difference between Core and Extended Care Network?
Both plans include the same features: the AI Care Assistant, shared calendar and tasks, medication tracking, the provider and pharmacy rolodex, document vault, and access control. The difference is the size of your care network. Core Care Network ($120/year) supports up to 4 members. Extended Care Network ($240/year) supports unlimited members, which is useful for larger families, distance siblings, hired caregivers, or households that include professional support. Extended also includes priority support.
-
What is a care-network member?
A care-network member is anyone you invite to help with your loved one's care. This typically includes spouses, siblings, adult children, friends, and sometimes professional caregivers or care coordinators. Each member you add gets the level of access you choose, from full collaboration to limited view-only access for sensitive documents. Care-network members count toward your plan's seat limit.
-
Can I add hired caregivers or professionals?
Yes. You can invite hired caregivers, care coordinators, or other professionals to your care network using Neela's Limited-access roles. This lets you control exactly what they can see and do. For example, you can share the medication list and shared calendar with a paid caregiver without giving them access to the document vault or estate paperwork. Extended Care Network is generally the better fit for households using multiple paid caregivers.
-
Is my family's data private and secure?
Yes. Neela is built to handle sensitive medical and personal information with care. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is controlled by care-network roles and permissions you set. We do not sell your data. Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) are available for HIPAA-aware use cases. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
-
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your account and data remain accessible for a period of time after cancellation so you can download documents or change your mind. After that, your account is deactivated and data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. For specific questions about data export or deletion, contact support directly.
